In 2599, humanity's Mars colonization plan, which has been brewing for five hundred years, is finally about to take an important step. Previously, scientists attempted to improve Mars's living environment by introducing algae and cockroaches. Now, to avoid the death penalty, Komachi Kogetsu (played by Hideo Ito) and his childhood friend Akita Nanako (played by Eiko Taike) have no choice but to agree to Dr. Honda's (played by Shun Oguri) request, boarding a spaceship to Mars with people of different identities and backgrounds, including Muto Jin (played by Tomohisa Yamashita), Hiruma Ichiro (played by Takayuki Yamada), Moriki Asuka (played by Rinko Kikuchi), and Dojima Keisuke (played by Masaya Kato). Upon arrival, they are shocked to discover that the cockroaches have evolved into incredibly robust and towering creatures, and they quickly launch an attack on them. During the battle, they learn the true purpose of this Mars trip, and thus fight with all their might against the flood-like onslaught of the cockroach people in order to return to Earth…
