England in November 1932. Gosford Park is a gathering place for the elite. Sir William McCordle and his wife Sylvia have invited friends and family for a hunting party. The invited guests include a countess, a World War I hero, a British music icon, and an American film producer who is filming "Charelli." As the guests assemble in the lavish upstairs studio, their personal male and female servants stand lined up in the grand residence, while more servants crowd the kitchen and hallways below. With a scream, the Sir is dead. During the investigation, deep-seated conflicts among the guests come to light, revealing surprising truths about the elite and their unsightly realities that lie beneath the surface.
