Joaquín (Leonardo Sbaraglia) is a disabled man who is paralyzed from the waist down and spends his days with a wheelchair. However, Joaquín is also a highly experienced engineering technician, skilled in mechanics, and possesses hearing that is several times more sensitive than that of an average person. With his exceptional expertise, Joaquín manages to organize his life meticulously. One day, a beautiful single mother, Berta (Clara Lago), arrives with her 6-year-old daughter, Betty (Uma Salduende), to stay at his home. Their presence brings color and vibrancy to Joaquín's otherwise dull life. By chance, Joaquín learns that a gang of robbers is living in his house, planning to dig a tunnel under the house as part of their bank robbery scheme.
