This might be the last impoverished street in Hong Kong, and according to the planning of the Special Administrative Region government, it will soon be covered by high-rise buildings. The story takes place here--Da Han Village. The villagers, the Zhu family, run a roast meat shop and lead a simple life. However, the arrival of a woman from Mainland disrupts their previously calm life. The lively and charming woman named Dongdong (played by Zhou Xun) lives in a luxurious apartment behind the Zhu family, known as "Hong Kong Hollywood."
