Arlene (played by Gong Ciyun) and Afang (played by Liang Yunrui) grew up together in Macau, where Afang works at Arlene's father's restaurant. A mainland youth, Ahua (played by Lu Liangwei), arrives in Macau, seeks refuge with Arlene's father, and becomes a waiter at the restaurant. Unexpectedly, he falls in love with the young lady of the house, Arlene, leading to a one-night affair between them. The lively and cheerful Afang also has deep feelings for Ahua, but soon she discovers that a relationship beyond friendship already exists between Arlene and Ahua, which creates conflict between the two women.
