When Mosquito (played by Zhao Youting) moved to Monga at the age of 17, he stepped into the underworld because of a chicken leg, meeting four good brothers: Monk (played by Ruan Jingtian), Zhilong, Uncle, and White Monkey. The five formed the Prince Gang. The Prince Gang adheres to the spirit of only recognizing brotherhood and not questioning its meaning, relying on Zhilong's father Geta (played by Ma Rulong), who holds a significant position in the underworld, to dominate the school. Entering the underworld means facing bloodshed and danger; however, Monk, as their guardian, always helps them resolve their crises. The traditional underworld order of Monga is threatened by modern civilization when an outsider, Gray Wolf (played by Niu Chengze), requests cooperation with the leaders of Monga but is rejected. At this time, Monk, harboring resentment towards Geta due to the past affairs between their fathers and incited by Wen Qian, gets involved in a conspiracy. The situation in Monga is fraught with tension and lurking dangers, and the five brothers navigate their choices between the underworld and friendship, unfolding a tragic story of youth. Director Niu Chengze describes "Monga" as a “vibrant and glamorous youth action film.” The film was released in Taiwan during the 2010 Spring Festival, achieving a box office of 60 million New Taiwan dollars in its opening week, breaking the first-week box office record for local Taiwanese films.
