The story begins in the exotic Netherlands, where Han Jie (played by Li Quan) has to rush to Barcelona to attend an important meeting in three days. However, at this critical moment, Han Jie discovers that his luggage and passport are mysteriously missing. In desperation, he decides to rent a car for a self-drive trip, which leads him to meet a Chinese female student named Xi Yang (played by Li Xinyun) in the car. In the short yet long three days and two nights, many things happen between Han Jie and Xi Yang. Due to immense work pressure, Han Jie suffers from insomnia, while Xi Yang is trapped in the dark emotions stemming from her ex-boyfriend's suicide. As time passes, both Han Jie and Xi Yang, realizing their emotional scars, feel a peculiar bond growing between them, but it's not love. At the end of this journey, where will this pair go?
