The Han family's Fengxiang Silk Shop is a well-known local business; however, it is not the elderly Mrs. Han nor the gambling-addicted young master Han Zhongze who truly manages Fengxiang, but an outsider named Shen Fang. Shen Fang is an orphan adopted by Mrs. Han twenty years ago.
