In the Year of Gengzi, the celestial phenomenon of the "Four Stars Converging" signifies the omen of a change in dynasty. Cao Cao (played by Chow Yun-fat) and his subordinate, especially his son Cao Pi (played by Qiu Xiaozhi), hope to seize this opportunity to have Emperor Xian abdicate and for Cao Cao to ascend to the throne; at the same time, the forces opposing Cao Cao also intensify their actions. No one can foresee what breathtaking events will unfold in the Han realm when the four stars align. In Guanzhong, at the rear of the captives camp of Ma Chao and Han Sui, young boy Mu Shun (played by Matsumoto Jun) and girl Ling Ju (played by Liu Yifei) are captured by a cavalry and taken to a massive tomb for brutal training.
