Uncle Bhumisak (played by Thanapat Saisaymar) suffers from acute renal failure and returns to his hometown to rest while awaiting death. In the countryside, he quietly eats, relaxes, and watches his family work. One cool summer night, while having dinner and chatting in the yard with his nephew and sister-in-law, the long-deceased wife of Uncle Bhumisak unexpectedly appears, sharing updates and years of longing with them. Later, Uncle Bhumisak's long-missing son also appears, transformed into a red-eyed black-furred gorilla, yet nobody is frightened. The few people separated by life and death calmly engage in family talk, amidst a tranquil orchard, a gentle breeze, and bees working peacefully every day; everything unfolds so naturally, every landscape has always been there, and every story feels like a dream... This film won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
