At the end of World War II, the momentum of the German Nazis began to wane. Inside a Nazi concentration camp in France, German officers came up with an ingenious idea to boost morale and strike back at the Allies: an international football match. The strong German team would face off against the weak international prisoner team. Former England international Colby (Michael Caine) saw this as a perfect opportunity for a prison break and gladly accepted the proposal from the Germans. Colby worked on recruiting football talents and trained them while appointing American Hatch (Sylvester Stallone) to escape from the camp and connect with the underground organization in Paris, preparing for a collective escape on the day of the match. As the match day approached, would they ultimately succeed?
