Veteran cop Ah Hui (played by Chow Yun-fat) is a flirt by nature. With the protection of his father's former subordinate, Uncle Jan (played by Wong Jan), Ah Hui has not been promoted in the police force, but he enjoys a relaxed life. The arrival of new officer Tsao Liang (played by Lee Yuen Ba) disrupts everything. Tsao's bold and reckless approach to cases causes Ah Hui to face great embarrassment. Although Ah Hui hates Tsao, he has no choice but to partner with him because of his superior's orders.
