Sui relies on her father for support and earns a living by teaching Chinese to foreigners. One day, her father is arrested for allegedly soliciting prostitution. Sui rushes to the police station and, fortunately, meets officer Wang Wei, who lets her father go with leniency. In gratitude, Sui offers herself to him.
