Svindal and Bejan are two down-and-out brothers, each carrying their own heartaches. They are butchers at a meat shop, often subjected to the cruel taunts of their harsh boss. Frustrated, they decide to pool their entire savings and open a shop of their own. By a twist of fate, Svindal cuts off the thigh of an electrician who died of cold in the freezer and sells it as chicken meat to his former boss.
