Situated in the remote Shuangfeng Town, a lawless wilderness plagued by banditry, Zhu Tong (played by Wu Yue), known as the Beautiful-Bearded Man, is demoted to this dangerous place for defying the county magistrate of Yuncheng. Not long after, Zhu Tong's former friend, the Winged Tiger Lei Heng (played by Jiao Enjun), follows him here. Zhu Tong is unhappy that Lei Heng took his position and became the magistrate’s confidant, especially since Lei Heng's purpose is to monitor whether Zhu Tong has evidence of collusion with Liangshan, leading to a breakdown in their friendship and frequent quarrels. The local breathtaking beauty, Bai Xiuying (played by Xiao Qiang), complicates matters by getting involved with both men, intensifying their conflict. Due to Lei Heng's impulsiveness and the impending threat from Liangshan's army, the destinies of Lei Heng and Zhu Tong are about to change... This film is adapted from the story in one of the Four Great Classical Novels, "Water Margin."
