Young and handsome American soldier Barry (Troy Garity) meets a stunning dancer in a strip club. His companions urge him to flirt and see if the dancer is a man or a woman. Barry politely strikes up a conversation, keeping his friends' crude bets a secret, thereby winning the affection of the trans dancer named Adams (Lee Pace). The two fall for each other, experiencing great happiness.
