In a small town on the China-Myanmar border, a rebellious female student (Gao Ye) inadvertently becomes aware of a strange man (Yang Kun) who has moved in, after her family's dog behaves unusually. The strange man is actually a professional hitman, and the female student nearly falls into danger. Fortunately, her brother (Zhang Mo), who is a narcotics officer, appears just in time to stop the hitman. The narcotics police arrest the hitman and inadvertently uncover a significant drug crime lead, which reveals a major drug lord (Sun Honglei) and a years-old unsolved case — a dentist (Ni Dahong) who was unwittingly drawn into a drug battle, during which a young girl was taken by a young drug dealer. Now, due to internal struggles, the drug dealer returns to the small town in Yunnan with the adult version of the missing girl (Wang Luodan) for one last drug deal. Police, drug dealers, a hitman, and the dentist’s father-daughter pair are intertwined by fate, leading to a life-and-death struggle.
