During a family gathering, Iris learns from her 74-year-old father that he wishes for his 75th birthday to be his last. The absurd news hits her like a punch, and Iris didn't see it coming at all. As her father's birthday approaches, Iris is on the brink of breaking down, and she decides to step out of the script. She takes leave, moves in with her father without his permission, and tries to force him to answer a question that is very important to her: why?
