With endless longing for the future, the young Seojin (played by Jung Yu-mi) leaves her hometown and travels miles to the bustling metropolis of Seoul, where she is about to embark on a new work life. However, reality turns out to be not as beautiful as imagined. Due to her tight living conditions, Seojin has to squeeze into a shabby little room located in the basement. Nonetheless, she maintains a positive and optimistic attitude towards each day. The only thing that troubles her is the rough and fierce man living next door. The man's name is Woo Dong-cheol (played by Park Jong-hoon), who once mingled in the underworld and ended up in prison to take the blame for his boss. Although he is now free, he is so physically and mentally exhausted that he can no longer find the drive he once had. This pair of neighboring characters constantly generates misunderstandings and humor, but as they gradually become familiar with each other, Seojin discovers Woo Dong-cheol's genuine and kind heart, which has become dusty over time.
