Young girl Ma Yufeng (played by Ma Sichun) is sentenced to six months in prison for drug possession. Her boyfriend Robert instructs her to find the woman Winnie, who killed his older brother, in order to take revenge. As a first-time inmate, Yufeng begins her life in prison known as the "First Cocoon." The aggressive female inmate "Tomboy" bullies the newcomers, but Yufeng is saved from a beating by the famous "Crazy Sister" (played by Ng Kwan Lai). From then on, Yufeng becomes friends with Crazy Sister and the optimistic, talkative pregnant woman (played by Lin Jianming). It turns out that Crazy Sister is Winnie, who, burdened by her drug-addicted father, must survive in a nightclub scene and loses herself to drug addiction. By chance, Winnie meets undercover cop Ah Yong (played by Andy Lau), and they fall in love. Ah Yong promises to never leave Winnie, even when her drug cravings hit. They plan to escape to Canada, but Ah Yong's identity is revealed, leading to Winnie killing Robert's older brother…
