Under the influence of her aunt Clarissa (played by Sibylle Canonica), the girl Lara (played by Sylvie Testud) becomes interested in playing the clarinet. Music serves as an opportunity for Lara and Clarissa to grow closer. Faced with this phenomenon, Lara's father Martin (played by Howie Seago) feels deeply conflicted, as his relationship with Clarissa is far from harmonious. Ten years have passed in the blink of an eye. Lara's achievements and talents in music grant her the opportunity to further her studies at a professional music academy. Following Clarissa's advice, she decides to move to Berlin to live with her aunt. This decision stirs a storm at home; despite her parents' strong objections, the stubborn and headstrong Lara remains resolute. The death of her mother forces Lara to mature quickly, and after a series of ups and downs, she finally realizes the importance of family and affection.
