The intelligence unit's wiretapping team is made up of three brothers who share a deep bond. Leung Chun-Yi (played by Liu Qingyun) is upright yet weak, entangled in personal emotional issues; Yang Zhen (played by Louis Koo) comes from a difficult background, having to deal with the unpredictable situation of his son suffering from leukemia while battling severe illness himself; Lam Yat Cheung (played by Daniel Wu) is young, promising, and ambitious, now "marrying into a wealthy family," with an unlimited future ahead. The three brothers, responsible for investigating insider trading allegations against the listed company "Fenghua International," work together seamlessly, successfully completing the installation of various wiretapping and surveillance devices. During the ongoing monitoring, they unexpectedly acquire intelligence that leads them to greed, and, under the temptation of huge profits, the trio makes a significant killing in the turbulent stock market. Afterward, fearing exposure, they use their position to destroy evidence. Just when they think the matter has settled, an unexpected black hand strikes, and the three find themselves in peril, facing a series of violent attacks that lead to a tragic end. "Three tough guys" challenge their limits, with two major teams (from "Infernal Affairs" and "The Equaliser") together creating an intensely emotional tragedy.
