Due to his gambling addiction and massive debt, bounty hunter Milo Boyd (Gerard Butler) is hired to capture his ex-wife, reporter Nicole Hurley (Jennifer Aniston). Nicole is wanted by the court for missing her court appearance related to a police assault case while investigating a bizarre suicide. As she tries every possible way to escape the situation, the relationship between the two, already strained from their mutual hatred that led to their divorce, gets even worse, until a mysterious killer suddenly appears with the intent to kill Nicole. Milo realizes he has never truly moved on from Nicole. To protect her, Milo takes her to "Cupid's Inn," where they spent their honeymoon, bringing back memories that make them both hesitate about rekindling their romance.
