Honest writer Gao Wen (played by Feng Gong) moves into a new home, only to encounter a tough and domineering neighbor, Zhang Yongwu (played by Niu Zhenhua). Before this, the Zhang couple had already driven away four neighbors due to various disputes, and now almost no one in the building dares to confront him. Upon learning about Gao Wen's profession, Zhang is relatively polite to the Gao family, but soon a conflict arises with the neighbor, Cadre Liu (played by Da Shichang), over the issue of noise caused by dogs. Soon, Zhang Yongwu resigns from his job and starts a dragon fish business, drastically improving his living standards.
