Three children, with the help of adults, built a treehouse near their home. Here, they quietly observe the rise and fall of the sun and moon, the changing of the seasons, accompanied by Iceland's magnificent yet harsh nature. This film was completed over 18 months by renowned Icelandic director Hlynur Pálmason and his three children, reflecting the global trend among filmmakers during the pandemic to turn towards family and nature. The film is a concentrated expression of Pálmason's "time montage" technique seen in his two recent works and can even be described as a documentary or a video of installation-performance art. The film began its international festival journey at the special screening section of the 2022 Berlinale and has become one of the best short films of 2022 according to various media and film critics.
