Born into a certain Noh theater troupe in Muromachi Kyoto, the deformed child Inu-Oh (voiced by Avu-chan) is shunned by those around him and wears a gourd mask that obscures his face. One day, Inu-Oh encounters the blind biwa player Tomona (voiced by Miriya Moriyama), who has lost his sight due to a curse. As Tomona strums the strings of his biwa, Inu-Oh steps and sings. In that moment, a world filled with just the two of them begins to unfold. Inu-Oh embraces his tragic fate, carving out his life through powerful dance, while Tomona seeks the truth behind the curse, resonating with another world through his biwa. They become partners surviving in a chaotic era, showcasing each other’s talents, and making a fervent impact as unique artists. However, something awaits them both at the peak... The film is adapted from the novel "The Tale of the Heike: Inu-Oh Volume" by Hideo Furukawa.
