Marcia, a chubby girl, works in a lingerie store in Buenos Aires. Two skinny girls, one named Renée and the other Mao, behave strangely. Two storylines run simultaneously, unrelated and seemingly unremarkable. But the two lines must eventually intersect. One day, while Renée is playing video games, she sees Marcia walk by and follows her, grabbing her and telling her that she loves her. Marcia is hesitantly receptive. From the very first moment she saw her, she fell in love; she wants to touch her body, she wants to lick her genitals, Renée says. Marcia had a boyfriend before, but it ended badly, leaving her feeling frustrated. She recounts once seeing a man at the beach with his genitals bitten by a tiger fish, battered and bruised. Renée tells her there are no tiger fish in the ocean, and Marcia is lying. Marcia admits it was a lie, something she heard, and she says she doesn't know why she made up that story; she has never seen the ocean and really wants to see it. The three of them hail a taxi, but the driver doesn't know where to go. Mao threatens the driver with a knife, and they take the taxi and drive off. Later, they blindfold Marcia and tie her hands; Mao and Renée are cool and say little. Marcia starts to feel scared. They keep driving. They keep driving. After going a long way, a sound suddenly emerges from the movie: it's the sound of waves. They take her to the beach, remove the blindfold, and run towards the ocean. If it were a girl heartbroken from a breakup, she couldn't resist such a romantic pursuit from a man. Even the pursuit of love between women is the same. Marcia is conquered. If the movie ended here, it could be considered a standard love declaration textbook, but there's still half left. They wander, they go to bed, and they visit Mao's eccentric aunt in the faraway place, who is just as strange.
