The film "Casino" is the eighth collaboration between renowned director Martin Scorsese and longtime partner Robert De Niro. Sam "Ace" Rothstein (played by Robert De Niro) manages a Las Vegas casino with the belief that "gambling is a serious business." This conviction leads to a prosperous casino operation and makes him a wealthy tycoon. However, everything changes when he marries the beautiful, greedy, and drug-addicted former prostitute, Ginger (played by Sharon Stone). Ginger can't let go of her past and continues to send money to her ex-boyfriend; Nicky (played by Joe Pesci), the mob enforcer sent to protect Sam, constantly breaks the law and is banned from the casino, but still wants to play boss; Sam fires irresponsible employees, angering local officials; and to make matters worse, tensions rise between Sam and his former partners.
