Jiang Wu shakes off his pursuers and falls into a lake, and a magnetic device transports him to the year 2010. Dressed in ancient costume, Jiang Wu lands on a street and arrives at the residence of Prince Yong, coincidentally where a film crew is shooting a costume drama. Due to his striking resemblance to the big star Yu Qingbin, he is mistaken for an actor and followed by a group of fans. The beautiful writer Ye Zi also resembles a princess, and Jiang Wu mistakes her for a princess. Jiang Wu follows Ye Zi back to her home, vowing to protect her at all costs. Ye Zi reluctantly takes him in, but Jiang Wu accidentally sets fire to the rented apartment, leaving Ye Zi homeless. Ye Zi takes Jiang Wu to Yu Qingbin's house, where they happen to meet Yu Qingbin's agent, who is distressed over Yu Qingbin’s disappearance. They devise a clever plan to have Jiang Wu substitute for Yu Qingbin in a commercial, creating a show with a Ming Dynasty man, Jiang Wu, and the celebrity Yu Qingbin in a true-false star performance. The "Traveler Through Time" series is a film produced and invested in by Oriental Feiyun Film Company, reportedly set to premiere on July 16 on Liaoning Satellite TV’s "Weekend Wang Gang Tells Stories" (starting at 22:20 every Friday). There are a total of four films, all of which have been completed: "The Traveler Through Time: Princess Mingyue," "The Traveler Through Time: Ling Gege," "The Traveler Through Time: The Qing Palace Ancestral Hall," and "The Traveler Through Time: The Visitor," starring Chen Dawei, Wu Jingyi, Yu Qingbin, Huang Qiange, Chen Zhenxi, Qiao Ruoxi, and Luoman Ya, directed by Chen Xiaolei.
