In 1944, on the eve of Germany's defeat in World War II. To protect the art treasures shared by humanity from malicious destruction, President Roosevelt authorized the establishment of a Monuments Men team, led by Professor Frank Stokes (George Clooney). This team gathered elite talents from various fields of art, including James Granger (Matt Damon), Richard Campbell (Bill Murray), and Walter Garfield (John Goodman). As the Germans retreated, the team tracked them down and saved numerous priceless artifacts. When they arrived in Paris, they met Claire Simone (Cate Blanchett), a French museum employee who managed artworks under the Germans. With her assistance, they were able to restore countless treasures to their rightful owners. This is a war that concerns human heritage, where every second counts, and there is no room for rest... This film is based on a true story that took place during World War II.
