The news of his mother’s impending release fills Liam (Martin Compston) with joy, as he understands that she is innocent; she suffered in prison simply to take the blame for her jerk boyfriend Stan (Gary McCormack). Before his mother is released, Liam has many things to do. He wants his mother to truly gain her freedom, which means she must stay away from anyone who could drag her back down, including Stan and Liam's grandfather. In Liam’s plan, he intends to take his mother to the countryside to start a new life, but for this plan to succeed, money is a crucial necessity. Thus, Liam and his friends start finding various ways to make money, even getting involved in some illegal dealings. Unbeknownst to him, driven by the desire for money, Liam suddenly finds himself in deep trouble.
