The years of youth are colorful yet melancholic, while the adult world is filled with disappointment and helplessness. The 15-year-old boy, Pär (played by Rolf Sohlman), usually helps out at his father's (Bertil Norström) repair shop and occasionally visits his lonely grandfather in a nursing home with his family. The girl Anne (played by Ann-Sofie Kylin) has a proud father who fails miserably at selling refrigerators (Bertil Norström) and a beautiful aunt (Anita Lindblom) who cannot become a flight attendant due to her height. The disappointments in the hearts of these adults far outweigh their life gains.
In contrast, the adolescent Pär and Anne are restless and vibrant. The two kids meet at an outdoor party in the nursing home and gradually come together. Pär pretends to ignore Anne after being beaten by older kids, but can the flames of youth simply extinguish? They ultimately reconcile, sharing the freshness and sweetness of juvenile love...
