Peter is a police officer working in a big city, investigating a human trafficking gang in Brașov. After rescuing a girl, he often thinks of his sister Yuli, who disappeared in their hometown of Valan 22 years ago. One day, Peter receives a call informing him that his sister's body has been found in the pine trees on a snow-covered mountain, so he decides to return to the mining town of Transylvania. The ensuing investigation not only forces him to confront the suffocating crime rate in the town but also plunges him back into the labyrinth of his past, facing his fears.
