The French national treasure singer Édith Piaf, known as "Little Sparrow" (played by Marion Cotillard), had a legendary life. Piaf's childhood was full of upheaval; first, she was abandoned by her mother, then sent to a brothel to be raised by her grandmother by her father, followed by being forcibly taken to live and perform with a circus after her father retired from the army. Later, Piaf made a living by performing alongside her father, starting from singing on the streets and eventually becoming a bar singer. As Piaf made her official debut, she smoothly became a captivating star, singing many popular songs. However, her emotions were repeatedly thwarted, especially in her relationship with boxer Marcel (played by Jean-Pierre Martins). Her later years deteriorated, and she ultimately died of liver cancer.
