This comedy by Carl Theodor Dreyer traces the trajectory of emotional metamorphosis and demands exaggerated twists and performance styles in its comedic expression. His simplicity ranges from the office of "The President" to Mrs. Marguerite's dwelling, tending towards unpretentiousness. There is also the beginning of the depiction of appearance.
