Cao Yi (played by Vivian Hsu) is a single mother who lives a reliant life with her son Xiao Hu (played by A-Rui). In order to make ends meet, Cao Yi must work tirelessly, seizing every opportunity to earn extra income, which makes her unpopular with her boss and even leads to her being assigned to work with photographer Xiao Tie (played by Huang Xiaoming) as his assistant. Xiao Hu sees his mother busy every day, forgetting to care about him, so he makes a wish to Santa Claus, hoping that his mother can become as strong and omnipotent as the robot "Mad No. 2" in the cartoons. The endless hard work causes Cao Yi to show signs of overwork, and seeing all this, Xiao Hu blames himself for the situation.
