Architect Piao Shu (played by Dong Piao) has worked hard in the industry for twenty years. Recently, due to a design project, he gained recognition from his boss, received a promotion, and was also granted the use of a villa in the mountains. Piao Shu and his wife (played by Deborah) excitedly bid farewell to their crowded old home and, along with their eldest daughter A-Zhen (played by Li Lizhen) and A-Zhen's boyfriend Da Jiu (played by He Qinan), visit the villa. Although they need to replace the furniture and A-Zhen sees suspicious shadows in the villa, the family's joy in moving is hard to conceal. However, strange occurrences soon unfold in the villa. A disordered attic seems to hide ghosts with ill intent towards Piao Shu’s family. After the ghost-hunting expert invited by Da Jiu is dealt with by the spirits, Piao Shu attempts to take a photo of the evil ghost but becomes possessed. Under the influence of the malevolent spirit, Piao Shu grows increasingly irritable. Just as the family is about to replay the tragic events of the ghost's life, a one-eyed Taoist (played by Leung Siu-lung) living nearby comes to the rescue…
