Hundreds of years ago, the Maoshan inheritor Zhang Susu (played by Chan Ka Ling) and her brother worked together to drive away a vengeful fox spirit, but Zhang Susu succumbed to her injuries. Time flies, and in 1991 Hong Kong, the 37th generation inheritor of Maoshan, Zhang Wu (played by Wu Feng), opens a shop in a building, while also welcoming his adopted son Ah Hwa, who has special abilities and arrives from the mainland. Zhang Wu's daughter Ah Ru (played by Ng Jun Ru) is dissatisfied with her father's frugality and sets up her own business, disguising herself as a "Great Master" to swindle people, while another daughter Ah Yi (played by Chan Ka Ling) wins Ah Hwa's heart. A big lama, capable of developing special abilities, comes to Hong Kong to find a reincarnated child, only to discover that there are supernatural beings in the building where Zhang Wu has opened his shop. Soon, the lurking fox spirit reveals itself, and the lama teams up with Zhang Wu's family and a Christian gangster boss to fight against the demon.
