The story takes place in the southwestern border of our country. Police captain Guo Jin (played by Wang Weiping) receives a report that the old captain Sun Honghui (played by Li Ding) has found a body while hunting in the woods. He immediately brings his assistant Xiao Wang (played by Bai Yun) to the scene. During the investigation, it is revealed that the perpetrator is a cripple. A monkey beside the body catches Guo Jin's attention, and he confirms from the monkey's behavior that the deceased was a monkey trainer. Through comprehensive analysis, the mutton soup and noodles shop owned by Widow Zhang (played by Ruan Peikang) comes under suspicion. After surveillance, it is discovered that this place is an important stronghold of a smuggling group, led by a one-legged man nicknamed Iron Cripple Liu (played by Yang Baohua). Widow Zhang asks Jin Yongchang (played by Zhou Fan) for help in smuggling fake medicinal materials, but unexpectedly, both the goods and the people end up in the public security bureau.
