In Hong Kong, there is a police station that used to be a military camp during the Japanese occupation thirty years ago. After their defeat, a Japanese officer committed suicide by seppuku inside. It is said that their restless spirits linger in this police station and appear on the Ghost Festival. Jin Maiji (played by Jacky Cheung) and Meng Chao (played by Eric Tsang) are both police officers in this station, but they do not believe the terrifying legends surrounding it. Until on the Ghost Festival, they witness the fugitive She Zai Ming (played by Lau Nam Kwong) turned to dust under the sun; it turns out that She Zai Ming encountered the ghosts of the Japanese army in prison and was bitten, transforming him into a zombie. Only then do they believe that there are indeed spirits within the police station. They report the situation to their superiors, hoping to uncover the truth, only to encounter a woman suspected of having died after being bitten by a zombie. A confrontation between the police and the vengeful spirits begins...
