Cory Lambert, a hunter in the Indian reservation of Wyoming, teams up with FBI agent Jane Banner to investigate the murder of a young woman in Wind River. A hunter who draws wisdom and faith from nature and a rookie agent still unfamiliar with bureaucratic pitfalls and criminal laws, they represent two completely different cultural backgrounds and social structures. As they become entangled in a murder case, they gradually enter a fog filled with human struggles. With the unveiling of more layers of identity and complex contexts, the danger faced by the characters slowly escalates, becoming increasingly intense, and the core of the case gradually comes to light.
