Dora (Isabela Moner) has lived in the jungle with her parents since childhood. One day, her parents decide to search for the legendary city of gold, leaving Dora in the care of her city-dwelling cousin, Diego (Jeffrey Wahlberg). Thus, the wild-spirited Dora begins her high school life in the city. Being used to the freedom of the jungle, Dora has difficulty adapting to school life, leading to many hilarious situations. However, during a school-organized field trip, she and her friends are kidnapped by mysterious criminals and brought back to the jungle, which is like a fish back in water for Dora. With her rich wilderness survival skills, she saves her classmates and sets out to rescue her parents, who have also been kidnapped.
