High school student Simon (played by Devon Bostick) loses his parents in a car accident and has lived with his uncle Tom ever since. In the last days of his grandfather's life, Simon records his grandfather's memories, piecing together the gradually fading images of his parents... Simon's teacher Sabine (played by Arsinée Khanjian) assigns a translation task that involves the narrator's memories of their parents being caught up in a terrorist attack. As Simon works on the assignment, he merges with the narrator, leading his classmates to mistakenly believe he is publicly sharing his own personal story. Sabine encourages Simon to continue his writing, while the classmates engage in lively discussions about the online video, with some teachers, parents, and even strangers sharing their views on this "terrorist's" son. Tom, who makes a living by towing trailers, unexpectedly encounters Sabine and discovers that she is actually the ex-wife of his deceased brother-in-law. This leads to Tom's own emotional burdens being probed by Sabine... The film won the Audience Award for Best Canadian Feature at the 2008 Tokyo Film Festival.
