Three stories related to dogs, three segments of poignant lives. Octavio (Gael Garcia Bernal) lives with his mother and brother and sister-in-law. His brother Amiro (Marco Perez) is fooling around with women, works in a supermarket during the day, and robs the supermarket at night, being quite violent towards his wife Susana (Vanessa Bauche) and children. Octavio gradually falls in love with Susana. In order to elope with her, he brings his dog "Geppy" to participate in underground dog fights, winning a lot of money.
