Nene (played by Leonardo Sbaraglia) and Ángel (played by Eduardo Noriega) are a pair of violent criminals known as "the twins." Constantly together, they are actually in a romantic relationship. The two met in a public restroom frequented by gay men, where Nene took the homeless Ángel home. Since then, they have been living together and committing crimes together. Ángel suffers from severe auditory hallucinations, constantly hearing disturbing voices that compel him to reject Nene's touch. A growing rift forms between them, and Nene realizes that by collaborating on a big heist, they can rekindle the feeling of being "twins" again. They become involved in a robbery planned by a government official, and together with their accomplices, they rob an armored cash truck. The robbery does not go smoothly; Ángel gets shot, and Nene kills all the police officers. They commit a shocking crime. In order to evade capture, they embark on a fugitive journey with the stolen money. This film is based on a real criminal case that took place in Argentina in 1965.
