Zhao Deyin's fifth feature film "Burning Secrets" received a subsidy of 12 million NTD from the Taiwan Ministry of Culture. The versatile actress Wu Kexi served as both an actress and screenwriter, and the film wrapped up on November 26, 2018, marking its first departure from Myanmar.
The film tells the story of a countryside girl who journeys to the city in pursuit of her dreams. The girl Nina (played by Wu Kexi) travels north alone to chase her dream of becoming an actress. She successfully lands a role in the film "Spy Love," but faces numerous challenges, including insults from a neurotic director, indifference from her agent, and unprofessionalism from her assistant, leading her to the brink of collapse. Just as she finishes filming, she receives the news that her father's factory has closed and her mother's health is deteriorating, forcing Nina to return to her hometown. There, she encounters her old friend Kiki (played by Song Yunyuan), and a series of strange events unfold, seemingly connected to Girl No. 3 (played by Xia Yuqiao), who disappeared after competing for the same role... How will Nina overcome and confront the countless trials of fate?
