The package sent to her husband in prison is suddenly sent back, leaving the wife with no choice but to travel to Siberia in search of answers. The giant statue of Lenin looms, and the shadow of the Iron Curtain is everywhere; everyone is downcast, lost, and self-medicating, turning a blind eye to everything. The taxi driver says, "Prison helps one survive," but the wife faces high walls and endures humiliation at every turn, while her husband remains missing, and the cost of uncovering the truth is heavy. Inspired by Dostoevsky's "The Gentle Woman," it tears apart gentleness to reveal cruelty, exposing the lingering specter of totalitarian oppression. Lozhnitsa toasts the suffering of the Russian people with pure vodka, leaving a burning and bitter aftertaste in her throat.
