The story takes place during the Republic of China, in a luxurious villa where the handsome male lead, He Shuming (played by Luo Bin), lives with his obedient daughter, Sisi. Unfortunately, the female lead, Yan Zhen (played by Zhang Xiaoyan), previously committed suicide by jumping off a building, an event that plunged the family into deep sorrow and cast a ghostly shadow over the villa.
