"Permanent Residence" is the first part of LGBT director Yoon Cheung's "Extreme Trilogy." Ivan (played by Li Ka-ho) does not believe he will live past 30, so he works double hard on his life, achieving what most men cannot in their careers. However, he encounters Windson (played by Hung Chi-kiet) at the gym, a man who deeply attracts him with his looks, interests, and conversation. Like a couple in love, they eagerly and boldly explore each other—working out, boxing, traveling, and drinking—experiencing that irreplaceable passion and resonance. Meanwhile, Josh (played by Chow Tak-bong) always provides Ivan with warmth and comfort that he cannot find with Windson. On the night of Ivan's 30th birthday, in a moment of despair when all his loved ones have left him, he makes a secret and "eternal" promise with Ivan... Having experienced multiple life-and-death separations, Ivan, who has secluded himself at the world's edge, thought he would never see Windson again, only to find that what awaited him there was an eternal and heartbreaking promise...
