Su Kai (played by Guo Tao) is an individual driver specializing in transporting cars from other places. By chance, he meets flight attendant Lin Gege (played by Xu Fan) and falls in love at first sight. However, Su Kai's slick and talkative demeanor does not leave a good impression on Lin. After some twists and turns, Lin gradually develops feelings for Su, and the two fall into a passionate romance. Su Kai uses the money obtained from selling his old house to buy land and build a home by the roadside in hopes of creating a cozy world for the two of them. But a disaster strikes unexpectedly, as Su Kai is diagnosed with a terminal illness called "myasthenia gravis" and has little time left. To avoid burdening his loved one, he hides his condition and sends Lin away. Upon learning the truth, Lin's friend Yang Yan (played by Ju Xue) chooses to take care of Su Kai. After spending some time together, Yang Yan begins to develop feelings for this man whose life is about to end... This film is adapted from Wang Shuo's novels "Forever Losing My Love" and "The Air Hostess," and is the first feature film directed by renowned director Feng Xiaogang.
